J. I'm in a window seat and it looks like there's no one in the seats next to me, so it turns out I also have direct isle access

I wonder if this qualifies as a ghetto upgrade

Kind of. It's usually (based in my understanding) downgrading to Y because a row is open there and J doesn't fully recline.

Oh I thought it was when you're in Y anyway and your row happens to be empty, so you have a lie flat bed. Anyway when I said that I thought it was the same, I meant that they're both "luck."

I just got rebooked onto a flight 9 hours from now. Is it worth going to the city for several hours? It looks rainy outside.

Do you have any interest in seeing the city? You can see a few things off the Piccadilly line from the airport in that time.

For sure if you've never been. Go have some food in Golders Green. Isola Bella was great. Metsuyan, a bit pricey but decent. You can go to Windsor Castle its 20 minutes from LHR. City is a bit further.

Sure, but I already did that several months ago. The main thing I missed was the changing of the guards, but I won't see it now either.

Is there any reasonable way to get from Heathrow to Stonehenge?

It was great! Honestly in a way I liked it better than CX J, because by the CX J bed, the place for your feet is way more cramped. Also, the service on my flight was great, though I understand that can vary greatly from flight to flight.

Thanks, I may very well do that, as all that I've done in London so far is see the city.
