Anyone have experience getting rental car after CX 889 JFK>YVR flight which arrives at 12:50am? Seems like most airport rental locations there close at 1 or 130.
They stay open for passengers from this flight.

FTFY- Butchart gardens
Only go if you are really into that kind of stuff. Its a bloody fortune per person, and very underwhelming IME.

Depends on your budget, travel companions etc...
Was supposed to write  a TR but never got around to it, I will give the rough outline of what we did.

Landed Thursday night

Friday- Granville Island

Shabbos-just chilled and walked up and down several times to the 31st floor!

Sunday-1)Grouse Mountain+shows and gondola 2)Lynn canyon suspension bridge 3)/capilino suspension bridge 4)a place where u see salmon swim upstream.

Monday- drove round trip to whistler mountain, stopped at some amazing waterfalls along the way. We couldn't do much on the mountains (3yr old and 1yr old) but the peak2peak gondola was pretty cool and insanely expensive.

Tuesday- took a seaplane sightseeing tour. Very cool, highly recommended if it's in your budget.
Checked out Stanley park and the sea wall, started to rain IIRC went to the aquarium for a few hours.
Evening we did the Chinese gardens (waste of time IMO) checked out gas town china town etc...

Wednesday- took the BC ferry (with the car) to Victoria- huge ship pretty cool. Don't recall exactly what we did there I think it was a museum and a mini Victoria place, and just walked around.

Thursday- checked out the town a bit, drove to butchart gardens spent a few hours there (had to get my monies worth) late afternoon took the ferry to Washington.

Friday- downtown Seattle, space needle, chihuly gardens, island crust cafe.

Shabbos- chilled (ground floor this time😃)

Sunday- drove to the volcanic mountain (don't recall the name) then headed down to Portland. Did the drive (don't recall the name) it had turnouts for lots of water falls.

Monday- Oregon coast, sea lion caves, sand dunes.

Tuesday- drove to crater lake (a few nice falls along the way), and then back up to Seattle.

Wednesday- Seattle waterfront, Ferris wheel, first Starbucks, pikes place market. Afternoon we headed up to Everest and did the Boeing tour. Crossed the border, overnighted in Vancouver.

Thursday- Relaxed after all that running around, went back to Granville island, Flew home.

For kids amazing.... For adults, it's cute, but not a must.
As far as must dos: I think the sea to sky highway on the way up to whistler was really nice.
If you can afford it deffinetly do the seaplane. Also I personally (after going to both) would do the capilino bridge (they charge an entrance fee) over the (free) Lynn canyon one. It's also got a cliff walk and treetop walks in there. As far as food Maple Grill is very solid and if you go to Seattle ISland Crust cafe is amazing. In Seattle the must dos: Space needle and chihuly gardens.

pretty smooth, maybe slightly choppy when it lands. We basically stuck to MG.
