No, but I'm saving up Starpoints to get to that property that's on my SPG Gold card!
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

The real expensive rooms are the OW (over water) rooms and they start at about $1000 (depending on season).

They are not really worth the extra money unless you've got lot to spare... The French Polynesia is not the only place to get them, the Maldives also has OW rooms...

Who said I don't want to go to a honeymoon place with you? Doesn't someone need to check it out before we go with our wives?

I'm all in, the only problem is that the first flight out Friday morning leaves at 7 and you land on shabbos so maybe we should wait a week and fly out on a Thursday morning

Just wondering if anybody has had any experience out there as far as which spg hotel to go with (st regis or westin) and if upgrades with plat status is likely.

Most importantly, I would like to find out what is the best option as far as getting there on points, which airline to use and how to route the trip.

I would've gone by now, but it's an extremely expensive 45 minute flight to get from PPT to BOB.  Only 1 carrier flies and they don't take miles!

There used to be SPG on Moorea, which is a short boat ride from PPT, but it became a Hilton, and I don't think you can reserve an overwater bungalow with Hilton points.

The St. Regis in Bora Bora is supposed to be fantastic and a great way to blow through tons and tons of Starpoints.  "Couples Retreat" was filmed entirely on the property if you want a nice tour of it.
