HELP im stuck in Lakewood for the summer

here is a game i like to play:

When someone starts staring into my car (intown or outta town) i give a huge smile and have profusely and then drive off.
i figure it can only work out two ways:
A) the guy feels like a jerk because he realized i was calling him out for staring at me.
B) he spends the rest of the day driving himself nuts trying to figure out where in the world he knows me from.

either way i have had my revenge!

I did that all the time in Israel walking down Sorotzkin friday night when all the bochurim are staring to see if they know you, I would waive to them. then they would stare longer to see how I know them, only to realize I have no freakin clue who they are & feal really stupid

You would know... Antwerp is renowned for ppl staring at your tefillin bag, only they don't do it so tactfully. I have a friend that actually had his tefillin boxes moved by someone trying to see his name...

When I happen to be there I usually just take my talit and tefllin in a carry bag just to let the curiosity grow.

it is in fact a friendly wave just so very friendly that it is clear that we really know each other. he then can come to either one of the two conclusions (that i noticed him staring or that he knows me but can't remember from where)

saw a guys tifilin today  alef yud . i told him i like it - he said he changed it when every shnorror said either reb avrom or mar yudlefsky.... he changed his "batel" all the problems went away!

My sister's FIL's name is Shimon, but his English name (for some odd reason) is Daniel. The family always has a good laugh whenever some entrepreneuring schnorrer tries to pretend he's best buddies with him by looking him up in the phone book, and then greeting him with "Shalom Reb Doniel, my old friend!"
