What's a good option close to the west cost? Based near SFO. I've visited all of CA and Las Vegas plenty of times. Any destinations nearby? I can drive or fly looking for something close. Hawaii seems like a good option and I'm looking at Puerto Vallarta since Hilton points are easy to get and the Hilton there seems like a decent option at 60k a night. Need some recommendations.
Aside from Hawaii. Vancouver and the grand canyon seem like obvious great choices.

that first day is a lot of driving. after that it's very doable. why attach canton to the trip, you live close enough to go another time and it adds an hour to your trip

Going for the American hall-of-fame trifecta? Sounds great! You can always add Toronto for a quadfecta :))

Loved the MLB HOF but thought the NBA one was much less impressive. Fenway Park is amazing though (And I've been to 15+ ballparks)

True, but a TR with all 3 of the great sport's HOF would be cool.  Maybe I'll go tomorrow or on Friday after arriving to CAK so that there's just ~6 hours of driving on Tuesday.  Or just save it for another time.

As in not even worth going to?
Have you done the NFL HOF? I haven't been there since I was a kid in camp.

I did not enjoy it, but supposedly it's better since they renovated it

Never been to NFL Hall but not such a big football fan (or historian) so I doubt that I'd enjoy. Cooperstown was like a child in a candy shop for me. I couldn't get enough...

Hi, I'm looking for some ideas for a late December trip to Asia with my wife.

So far I have 3 days in Beijing planned, and plan on spending another day in Dubai on the way back. That leaves me with 3 or 4 days to spend somewhere else.

Having gone to Chaing Mai last year and having an awesome time I'm looking for a place that will have lots of interesting things to do or beautiful scenery.

A couple of places I have thought of but rejected as of now:

New Zealand sounds awesome, but it would be peak season there so I want to try it a different time. I'm intrigued by Puket/ Ko Samai but I don't want to go back to the same country, even though it's in a different part of Thailand. Bali sounds good, but it sounds like most of what to do there is beaches and temples, each of which presents problems. From the research I have done it doesn't seem like there is much to do in Vietnam or Cambodia.

Anyone have any suggestions?

It's on :D
(Minus the NFL HOF)
Booked hotels in Cooperstown, Springfield, and Boston.  Just need to wait for the Red Sox ticket prices to drop for Thursday's game on Stubhub :P
