You did this recently? They started sending endless emails about adding the ssn or card will be closed. You had this and ignored with no issue or your saying they don’t ask?

He doesn't seem to say that. They may in fact send emails and notify you. All he seems to have said was should you have added a card and used the GE perk and never bother to add the SS within the 60 days it's OK. Nothing to worry about amex coming after you. Again if they're bored one day they'll come after you.
