A friend of mine did the status match to Turkish Elite (*A Gold). According to the TK site, his "card upgrade" was on November 8. Yet as of today, an upcoming UA flight is still not allowing any *G benefits (specifically, expanded baggage allowance). A United rep already tried removing the number and re-adding it, and said it still is not showing up as *G.
Is this normal? Does it take time until the TK status is recognized alliance-wide? If yes, anybody have any idea how long it could take?
