Spending Threshold
« on: November 21, 2012, 11:01:19 AM »
I recently got approved for Chase Ink Biz, so now need to meet threshold. I have credit line of 5K, how much should I be worried about spending in the 1st month, is close to 5K too much? Would it be any better to pay off some of the balance before the statement comes due?
Thanks!

It would depend on your overall Credit Limits across all cards . if you only have the one or two cards , Yes you could pay half of 5 K mid cycle but leave a decent amount for statement closing to show
a mid sized balanced paid on time

You can spend the $5K right away it won't matter as business card spending isn't reported.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Interesting advice from Dan. Was this before you knew that spending most of your CL on a given card could be an A/A trigger?

I think my words themselves made it pretty clear that my whole point was that I was quoting a three year old post.

You're right. I should have been more careful when reading.

WM will not take GC's now, the system has been hardcoded.

There was a time where OV worked with a workaround, but not sure that still works.

WM does take GC for a MO. I did it last week.

Which card did you use? MB works, Vanilla doesn't. I'm remembering now.

Background: with a 5x card to grocery,  I bought a $500 Visa card.  Not able to load those to RC. (didn't know). So with that GC I bought... a $500 GC right from a WM isle! Then went to CS and got a MO. So simple!

Why weren't you able to load it to RC?

Not sure. It was at Kroger in the Midwest. Something about the PIN number coming inside possibly but I threw out the packaging before I can find out so I was stuck with them so I just spent another $5 got t a gift card from wm

Hi,
First time poster.
Does anyone know if there are still ways to hit spending thresholds solely online, due to the fact that I live in Israel? I know there used to be Amazon Payments, and Serve, but is there anything else?

Thanks
