Working at home can have great challenges too
+1000
I just started working from home and find to be awesome but very challenging. Lots of disruptions and its tough to get into a working headspace when you are surrounded by couches, beds, a gorgeous baby and a bar.

Dan and others who work at home, how do you guys manage the challenges?

I can't imagine working at home.

Takes me a 5 min walk to get to work.
Love me or hate me. I still love you.

Considering what some are making off it I think that would be fair.

Working at home can have great challenges too
Of course, though which of them can be attributed to being self-employed and which to working at home is up for debate.

Yup, and just another point, is when working at home, you likely will put in hours at times you wouldn't be working if you were not home.

But is that attributable to working at home or being self-employed?

Deff by working at home and being self employed.

But I have seen on even not self employed, that people that have a work at home job are putting in evening hours or more overtime ect...

Somewhere around $500.
This is how I do the math:

According to Google you'd be getting average 20mpg,
140 miles / 20mpg = 7 gallons
7 gallons * $3.50 (that's around what I pay per gallon in Jersey) = $24.5
$24.5 * 20 (5 day work week * 4 weeks a month) = $490

No problem :)

Oh and don't forget to calculate how much tolls are.
I'm paying $18-$22 (after E-Zpass savings) a day in tolls depending which route I take :-\
