Chase not Reporting Credit Limit for United Card
« on: August 11, 2010, 01:12:22 PM »
For all those who applied for the sweet Chase United card deal a while back beware that chase does not report the credit limit on those cards. So my FICO score is hurting because I have $57 balance with a $57 credit limit (100% utilization ration as they use the highest balance instead). From what I read online,  I foresee disputing with the credit agencies or Chase a waste of time. Any ideas of how to fix this?

It seems this is true for AA advantage cards as well. Alot of you guys probably reached your credit limit (as your high balance) so you have a pseudo credit limit on your reports.

Wow i was just wondering about this!
I called citi identity monitor and i asked why my credit score was just "fair" even though i'm paying on time and doing everything right. The rep told me that my starwood amex and citi are not reporting my credit limits so it constantly looks like 100% utilization ratio which drags my score down.
How can i stop this? can i call citi/amex and ask them to report my limit?

There are some articles about it try google, some credit reporting agencies consider your highest balance to be you CL, in which case spending a lot one month, and paying down before statement closes on other months should help. (YOu can even buy, wait for statement to close and then return.)

I've contested the CL on the cards that don't report on my free credit reports from annualcredit.com (the real free one) and it has been updated
