Chase Southwest Question
« on: May 25, 2014, 04:31:59 PM »
It looks like the 50,000 sign up offer is back up again: https://creditcards.chase.com/a1/southwest/2fftmicrosite

I had a question. Would anyone know if my wife could apply for the card using my Rapid Reward number to help with the companion pass ticket? Or does she have to use her own RR number?

Thanks!

This card has been around for a while and there is a appropriate thread.
They say you need the same RR acct

Welcome to the forums. :)

Props to you for finding the correct board (Up in the Air) before posting, but please search within the boards for your topic before creating a new thread, as things get messy here when a lot of new threads are opened for the same topic.
Here's the link you would want to check out - http://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=8370.0 - you can see in the wiki there (wiki=first post in a thread that's stickied to the top) that Dan has an affiliate link for the offer. You can also use the search bar within that thread to possibly find the answer to your question, and if you don't find an answer, feel free to post your question there as that's the appropriate place for it.

CP can only be obtained by collecting 110K points in 1 RR account. I highly doubt (although I don't know 100%) that if your wife applied for a cc and used your RR number, it would go through smoothly. RR #s are associated with a person's name, and I would imagine that SW would catch on. Just apply for 2 diff SW cc's in your name.
