any good reason to apply for Delta or United credit card
« on: March 10, 2015, 12:58:00 PM »
I have 3 airline cards-AA, JetBlue and US airway. I recently had a job transfer and I am now living on the west coast and I  find that the airlines with the best price and time schedules for my travel needs are Delta and United. I have the freedom and Sapphire with Chase and the blue, green and JetBlue with AMEX-just throwing that info in -I'm not sure if there are limitations on the num of cards you can get with each co. So any good reason to apply for any of the above cards? I have great credit and last may I was approved for the Citi ex, Sapphire and US Airway cards.

As long as you have good credit and can maintain your finances well even with having multiple cards then there is no reason not to go for both cards.

Unless you are planning on buying a house in the near future in which case you may want to limit your credit pulls.  But I'd say go for it.

Both the Delta and United credit cards will get you a free bag on their flights.

Your other cards will not.

If you fly business or your company is paying for it anyhow, it may not matter to you.

There are also signup bonuses to consider.

No intention of buying a house but I do have a lot of credit cards and wasn't sure if I needed another one. I have always gotten free bags on AA and US airway but they were for international travels.

I think with Delta you could get 30,000 miles at signup.

Delta 30,000 is pennies compared to what you can get with other sign ups.
