There are no blanket rules. You gotta read each card's bonus' T&C before applying. In the MB Plat's case, for example, the gold is definitely not considered a plat.

Their are no blanket rules , says it all . I have a tough time understanding the differences, but I was told I can not apply for Plat biz until 1 year after I closed my BRG which was up Mid September 2013

I still have open a MB plat personal . Do you think I will get the bonus for a  targeted 100K Plat
Biz card that I am hoping to find in my mailbox when I get home . Amex still eludes me so I defer
To younger more focused minds .
Thanks

So in theory I should be good to go, if I find a Plat Biz targeted offer in my mail
tomorrow night in NYC.

Will post my results, if I am successful .

Did anyone get a notice that Amex Platinum will no longer cover the Admirals Club pass?
I am not 100% sure about this. But I am going to click it anyway.

I currently have Amex Business Gold, and I received a targeted offer code for 100K platinum, can I open the platinum under another company name that I have to get the bonus?

Can someone please tell me what FREE cards I can downgrade my platinum to? Or direct me to the post that says which cards would work. I didn't see info in the wiki. Thanks!

AFAIK, you can't.  If you have MR, apply for the Blue Rewards.  Once you have the card, you can cancel the plat without losing the points.  If you need to transfer, you would need the Gold/Plat again.
