I want to close my platinum, but I don't have any other MR account.
Do I need to open a new cc to keep the points?
Or is there any other way?

Either downgrade it to a Green card ($95 AF) or apply for the Everyday card.

Received the automatic approval email!

Applied for the MB Platinum (50k),

#1. Any chance of getting both bonuses?

1) You'll probably get both ,although YMMV (that's assuming you haven't had the card's in the past).

First, I want to address the AF. I will read through PGGM to see exactly what that's all about, but even so, that's only $200 back.
Are my only 2 options to deal with the other $250 of the AF or close the card within 60 days?

Thanks for the PGGM advice.
SBS - another AU will cost me $300 ? for another AF. I also don't know if my card will come in time for SBS.
But if I get $400 back from this, then I think it'll be worth it for me to keep it open for the year.
Didn't know about National Exec. - not that I rent cars often, but it will be nice to know I have it if needed (I imagine there must be some perk of being Exec).
SPG Gold will be nice.

SPG Gold - I was only interested because I'm so close with stays alone. I didn't particularly have any upcoming SPG stays in mind. Now, I won't have to worry about it either way, though, so that's good.

Plus purchase protection offers LOSS coverage in addition to damage/theft. Hopefully won't have to use it, but it's a great little addition. I had to use it when my brand new smartphone fell between train and platform on the el and fell to the street. I ran down but it was long gone.  And I had paid full price cuz my old one died before contract time.  They reimbursed with almost no questions asked.
