i'm looking for dollar rental receipt within 6 months, please help. found out miles expired last month while trying to book a ticket for honeymoon. thanks!

My United miles were reinstated thanks to dansdeals! I submitted the request through hertz.com main page, under Customer Support look for Frequent Traveler Credit. I put in my united number and email, all other info I matched to the rental receipt info. Got reinstated in less than a week. Thanks all!

I just learned about this trick, but I do not have any miles due to expire soon that it can save. I have ~14 rentals over the last year that do not have any miles credited toward them. Most are Hertz but 2 or 3 are Enterprise. The one closest to the 1-year cutoff was Sep 10-18 2015. Do any rentals count so long as they are directly through the Hertz website (not through e.g. Priceline), or does it matter if some are prepaid? I am willing to sell these off (PM if interested), or if there is no interest then I will call in and get a few extra miles on my own.

I realized after looking through some more info online that my rentals are probably not eligible because I already got Hertz points on these rentals. Can anyone confirm this is the case? I would be fine with "unwinding" the Hertz points for airline miles (for me or others) if that is possible, but I do not find any info about that online. Unless someone says otherwise, I am going to assume that my rentals are not applicable to this approach.

All help welcome and even the smallest booking is welcome - its "only" 2k Miles that expired..
