Here is a real simple example. This is going back many years. Citi had a card that was 5x on all purchases for 6 months. This card was churnable every six months. Many figured out on their own there was a way to still get this card after the app was pulled. This went on for over two years that I know of. This knowledge was then use for other apps with great success. No one to my knowledge every leaked this while it was going on. So to those who say the deal would have died anyway have no idea what they are talking about.
What ended up killing it ?
Nothing lasts forever, even cold November Rain.
In the past you could get these Stand Up 2 Cancer Master Card Gift Cards at CVS without having to pay the $4.95 activation fee, so I use to stop by in my local CVS and purchase 4 of these every day before going to work, my friendly cashier didn't have a problem letting me use a ***** for the purchase, starting today reports started coming in that the standard $4.95 fee is being applied to these GC purchases, as always we enjoyed it while it lasted.
From your post it seems you have been doing this for awhile already, care to share an actual timeline?
Doesn't make sense. He hasn't been on the forums so long.
LOL
See, that's one of the problems with this attitude. Everything is an inside joke and a secret code even when it's not. And yes, the subject of this thread is still outrageous.
It is not this simple. Most deals have nine lives in one form or another. Take this deal. It was not the first time this has happened at CVS and IMHO it will not be the last. This thread will have more people looking for this glitch. This will cause it to die sooner next but the flipside is more will get in on it. The key to these deals are networking. It use to real easy to do this but now it is getting harder and harder. Here is a real simple example. This is going back many years. Citi had a card that was 5x on all purchases for 6 months. This card was churnable every six months. Many figured out on their own there was a way to still get this card after the app was pulled. This went on for over two years that I know of.
