I know this is an old thread,  but I didn't want to start a new one for no reason.

Kohls has some shavers on sale now, the one I'm thinking about buying is on sale from $120 to $60. Its the Remington r5 (R-5150xlp)
Is this a good price? Is it a good shaver?

Anybody know of any other shaver deals at this time?

I have my eyes on costco 1255x with extra head its $179-$30 instant rebate and- $15 mail in rebate.

I had one years ago and remember hating the straight trimmer and ended up always using a separate trimmer to straightn my burns.
+Not sure but Someone told me norelco has better hechsher.

looking at Braun 7-760cc. Says it has ActiveLift. Is that the same idea as lift & cut? I know some poskim are of the opinon that Norelco's Lift & Cut is a problem. Would the same apply to this?

What is better about the Braun shavers? Closeness? Speed? Cleaning system?

I have an old norelco (paid $70 8+ years ago) which used to shave really nicely and now is dull. Replacements cost more than some of the new cheap norelcos [it costs $50 I think]. But I am actually thinking of getting replacement blades because I tried one of the new cheap ones and I didn't like the shave - it went really slow and missed spots and apparently they don't make the pop-up trimmers like they used to.

Thoughts?
