Could be. If it is doing it often pull the disconnect outside for the compressor. That will eliminate a lot of things. Do you know where/what the disconnect is?ETA: Do you have a fused disconnect box outside or unfused?
Meanwhile a close frie d of mine who does HVAC came by. The contactor is all melted in one corner. Hopefully that (or a loose wire in it) is the cause not an effect.
Sounds like the suspect. Should be easy to located one.Keep us posted. You will find out how good of a friend he is when you get the bill.
Whenever he comes we always fight over the bill with me trying to give him more and him trying to bill me less.
Can he be my friend too?
Will you argue to give him more?
I wouldn't argue, I would just do it.
I wish he would make it so easy.
Any update @aygart ?
Sorry. That seems to have worked. No issue since.
My HVAC unit replaced and I just found out that my contractor had to get a mechanical and plumbing permit. Does that make sense?
Might be to your benefit as pulling a permit should result in an inspection of the contractor's work. While not every inspector may be thorough at least someone is checking.
I’m Clueless with these things, and I don’t know what the options are, but I’d say furnace
Do you have ducts with air coming out? Do you have natural gas in your house?
