I'm not offering to sell on the forum. Just asking for someone to recommend someone who deals in this. I don't see how that's against the rules, but if it is, my apologies. I'll just ask on Facebook or something.

Doesn't sound  skeptical, it's really all about trust, if he trusts the buyer (or get someone to vouch for him) I don't  see anything ridiculous about it.

I would imagine, the buyer wants to make sure the seller doesn't sell the 50% refunded points when it comes in...

If doing BP, buyers should be certain to clarify with client what exactly is being bought and for what rates.

The confusion in these "cases" was likely due to the buyer assuming the client/seller knew all his (the buyers) Cheshbonos without them having ever been mentioned.

When you sell BP you only charge the buyer for half so when you get the 50 percent refund those points are yours to sell again
