There are a number of companies that offer discounts for monthly rentals.
For Hertz use PC code 112416 and that will give you $50 off a monthly rental. This coupon code can also be used with a corporate code, which will give you even more of a discount. CDP code 1908469 from Chabad was last posted by Dan but there are many, many more to choose from, and they're all good.

Avis also has a monthly coupon code, also for $50 off. MUWA041 is the code. As Hertz, there are many, many good corporate codes that can be added, which will also give you a cheaper rate.

Just note: The $50 off for the Avis rental will NOT reflect on the reservation, it will be deducted at the counter. A simple bit of math will allow you to calculate how much you will be paying, by deducting $50, plus another couple of bucks for taxes.

Not sure if the Hertz code deducts the discount in the reservation..

@ Hertz, if the monthly price is the same as the price for 2 months, i would suggest you should divide the rental and make 2 reservations for each month, that way you can use the $50 off coupon twice.

Either way, i recommend you should rent for 2 full mounts even that you only need it until Aug the 22nd, in most cases you'll end up paying cheaper with the monthly rate than with the weekly. (Also the monthly coupon won't work under 28 days)

Especially if you use credit card insurance, it usually applies to a rental under 30 days, and in some cases 45 days.
Either way, splitting the rental allows you to take advantage of the coupon twice!
The same would apply to Avis, or any other rental company that you use with a monthly coupon...
