My last application for 5/24 was Jan 21 2020. Am I safe to apply today Jan 23 2022 or should I wait for the end of January?

I tried signing up the Chase United Card last week but they said I was denied bc of 5/24.

I did not open up 5 cards in the last year.

Is there a way to see the what the last 5 cards were opened and what dates were?

You can check on Credit Karma.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

It appears that targeted mail offers may bypass 5/25.  DW was approved for Freedom Flex despite being way over 5/24!

Hi everyone,

I applied for a Ink Business Unlimited® credit card today but was declined because of the 5/24 rule. I have an excellent credit and there was no other reasons.

It was frustrating because the banking private manager did not warn me that I would be subject to the rule. I was applying for a new investment business that I started in August and I invested a lot of money into JP Morgan. I called the review team and asked them how do they expect people to start businesses when they decline business credit cards? He said there was nothing he could do.

Any advice how to overturn this decision from the seasoned DD forums users or from Dan if possible?

Thank you.

I recently came to the USA so I wanted to build my credit. Within the past 2 years I got Amazon, Ebay, Best Buy Tk Maxx credit cards. I also got paypal credit account. I also got Amazon, Home Depot and Kohl Store cards. I also got 1 or 2 authorized user account from my wife credit cards.

If the store cards are considered as 5/24 and Chase will not compromise on the 5/24 then it might not work.

I got the business platinum american express, thanks to postings on DD. But I also need a business visa, Amex isn't accepted everywhere!

Thank you.

You can call the reconsideration line and tell them that you are an authorized user on some of them.
Store cards that are NOT credit cards should not count .
