It is, but it has a miniscule effect on our taxes. They have yeshiva apartments and a couple of other buildings, nothing major at all.

oh stop it. The law is that they don't have to pay taxes on student housing period. Insinuating that this is wrong or stealing is very wrong.

 Every college community has this issue to a certain extent. In Princeton for example most of the real estate is tax exempt... In Lakewood it is relatively miniscule and not worth crying over.

Hah, nonstudent! When I left BMG and stopped registering they kept sending registration forms to fill out and calling me. It took effort to 'deregister' myself.

Did the same to me, but I saw it as a very yosher thing, I hadn't told them I left, and they wanted to make sure I was there before claiming funds for me. When I called and told them I left yeshiva they stopped calling immediately. Now this was 9 years ago, but still...

I have donated a few $ though, hopefully it didn't go to the business.

wow, you left quite a wide range open. Btw, don't think that all of the board really endorses all activities in many/most organizations.

-1, sending you a registration form just means you are in the databases student section. Only those who give in the registration and later confirm(usually by filling in the seating cards) will be considered registered for the semester.
