The policy is "within 30 days of the date of the statement on which the annual fee appears"

Are you counting from the actual date that the fee posted or from the statement closure date?
from date posted (which is usually the last day of the statement..

Sadly, I'm not even getting prorated cuz I cancelled and didnt downgrade (was that always the rule?) - any luck for me? $695 down the drain?

IIRC they made that rule change around 2016/2017 timeframe.

The only thing that I could think of is perhaps you could ask them to reopen the card and then downgrade it after waiting a little while? I have no idea if that's actually possible though, just an idea

Ask to reopen it.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Ask to reopen it.
I asked (via chat) and they said they can't.. should I call?

ETA I called, they said account wasn't eligible for reinstatement. I asked to speak to supervisor who said the same. I then begged about the 695 being thrown down the drain.. and BH she was able to credit it back as a courtesy. .

Saw an ad that claims to be able to get a 500K limit on Amex charge cards (no financial statement) .

Are they legit? Does anyone know what they might be doing? Is it worth it?

(Not sure if this is the right thread.)

Fwiw amex platinum has a tool to check your spend and if it would get approved. I input $250,000 and it said it would be, when I did $500,000 it said it won't be.

I'm aware. According to the ad, they will get a 500K limit. Not sure if it's a soft limit or hard limit.

Yes, from personal experience as of about a week ago.  No issues doing $250 in one go for Aspire and 2X $100s for Platinum.

Most likely not, I think terms are that when the credit is issued your account must be open and in good standing (referring to the specific card you used, business platinum). Call and get a retention bonus maybe
