While uncommon nowadays, not too long ago that's what most people did. Have a small spritz bottle with water and some tissues.
Definitely a reasonable way to be frugal (averaging over 25x more expensive then wipes) and definitely no harm done to the baby
@mevinyavin don't give in to social pressure
I do this on shabbos. Uses about ten times more tissues than wipes, so im not sure it actually saves money...
Seems this is the only preferred way to clean a child on shabbos? Curios to know if there's those who hold differently. Yes, I know it (may) be problematic, but for some reason no-one(or at least many ppl) seem to turn away and assume it's okay. Or at least claim how else shall I clean my child?
Interesting that there are those who prefer water and tissues over a wet wipe!
But baby wipes is for another topic..about what brand and who uses it..
@myi
I was telling my family this week at one of the Shabbos seudos (it came in some how😏) abt your cream contraptions. They all had a good laugh.
What did you decide to do in the end?
Every dollar counts! But I enjoy doing experiments more than saving the buck! Worked out like a champ!
Though would have been easier if I had a plier the same size as the tube to only have to crimp it once and a torch. Used a smaller plier and a gas stovetop! But yes it worked out great!
Will stop by lowes or HD one of these days to get myself a longer needle nose plier for my experiments!
