Is this scenario right? I ask "David so transfer to my account 40,000 miles, and offer to pay $650. He sends 40,000 and I get 80,000. I now can get a round trip ticket NYC-TLV all for $650?
If they don't mind giving you their miles for peanuts it makes sense.
Riiiiight. Missed that part. Approximately how much are these worth?
At least $400
So where does this shine?
If the 40,000 miles belonged to you it would perhaps be a good deal. You're basically buying the miles at a good rate.
But it still costs $500+ to transfer, no?
Yes. So the 40K are yours and you're buying another 40K at a good rate.
Don't know if this is the right place, but there is this Promo as well:http://shopping.usairways.com/promotion/dividendmiles/registration.aspx?PromoCode=FF13&c=e_solo_series_emm1_21178_09302013
Is this giving you double the miles flown? Actually kind of interesting if it is and you happen to be flying internationally. I didn't read the tiny print though so...
I tried to transfer to my wife's account last night and got the confirmation page, but nothing has gone through, and I can't transfer back from her to me until the transaction clears. Has anyone else had issues with the transaction not going through immediately?
Tried for someone last night and nothing happened.
