Shabbos is over 8:00 ish

Most passengers are frum.....Shabbos ends at 8 that leaves at least 40 min to airport from the closest major jewish area....plus a few minutes for havdalah.....Dont think most will be able to get there before 9

Clifton is 20 minutes from Newark. Union, elizabeth, linden, all much closer.

Large areas are usually Brooklyn Monsey.

They don't care if you make it or not. Once you booked the ticket it is on you to make it to the airport. The only reason why they would change the time is if they can't sell out the flight, but i don't see why they would do that close to the departure date.

Correct. Probably a large percentage of their passengers are non shomer-Shabbos.

I guess original question remains.
If arrive motzay at airport 1.15 minutes before flight doable (wtih luggage)? I have seen in the past on Motzay people arrive quite late.....

Maybe in CLE you can do 1.15 minutes before a flight, not in EWR.
