Cool!

DH has been to all 50, and DS13 has been to 49 - all but HI (same as me).
Wow, I didn't realize this thread existed.
Hmm... ;)

We collect magnets as souvenirs and couldn't resist buying a ND magnet that says "I saved the best for last!"

I'm armed and ready!

@CheskyGold picked me up one of those a couple years ago and it's been waiting patiently ever since.

What's the significance of going to North Dakota last?

Iowa: detoured twice in the middle if the night, saw a dark corn field, took a picture of the Welcome to Iowa sign.

Nebraska: drove across the state twice, saw or did absolutely nothing (although this has been on my bucket list for a while).

Nothing, does tend to happen more than other states I guess.

Iowa: First time there was on a longish-stopover through Omaha, and walked across the state-line into Council Bluffs, IA. I returned later on the inaugural Allegiant flight from EWR to DSM. Chabad runs a pretty good deli there, and the Capital of IA is there. Otherwise not a whole lot to see/do, but was useful for positioning to my next place.

Nebraska: Had to get from New York to California, and the cheapest United award at the time from NYC to SFO was with a 6 or 7 hour stop in Omaha.

I feel vindicated.... :)
I've done the most activities in the most boring states

Oglala in the northwestern area of the state is supposed to be very nice. Not terribly far from the black hills

Isn't there a small Jewish community in Omaha?

Iowa-
World's largest truck stop on the 80. Right over the Illinois border (Didn't seems that big but they did have a nice store and some cool things to see inside )

Des Moines also has a really nice sculpture garden called Pappajohn Sculpture Park.We came there at night and there were lots of teenagers racing their pickup trucks and sports cars on the streets surrounding it . Seems to be the only nightly entertainment there 🤣

Nebraska-
Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge- Bridge between Nebraska and Iowa that goes over the Missouri River. You can stand on both states at the same time. The state lines are etched in the cement. There is a Lewis and Clark NPS building at the entrance of one side. Pretty sure there were a few citi bikes there as well.

Omaha Zoo was pretty cool. They have a nice butterfly house and lots of animals.

in short , nothing to see....
It's worth noting, I believe Nebraska has the longest stretch of straight , interstate highway. Between Lincoln and z Grand Island

And I'm armed and done! Here's a small part of our magnet wall containing the ND magnet:

And once I'm posting, here's the full 4-panel magnet wall in all its glory:
