Interesting, when you have this issue does internet explorer work or both don't work?

haven't tried in awhile since I figured out how to fix it, but I'm pretty sure FF worked. I'll try next time it happens

What proxy settings does it give you? if it gives you an IP you can try checking who owns that IP. Is this at work?

Someone asked me to take a look at their Dell i5 Laptop.
All the USB ports don't work with windows-
They do work in BIOS.
No Issues reported in DM.
Unistalled and reinstalled all ports.
There is no system restore file from when ports were working.
?

You may need to reinstall chipset drivers...
I have nothing witty to write here....

No, that shouldn't be hogging it that bad.
Have you tried restarting your Mac?

Do a virus scan.  Use this: http://www.sophos.com/en-us/products/free-tools/sophos-antivirus-for-mac-home-edition/download.aspx
I've never used that one, but supposedly its very good.  I've always used http://www.clamxav.com/  but IIRC the interface is a bit non user-friendly.  So use Sophos, update, and scan.

First question should really be, is it only slow when online or in general?
