I dont think its scam proof. But i remember buying for the first time. And it was small transactions I was paying first and slowly you build yourself up. I use this board all the time and I buy from new sellers all the time. I buy with caution, I pay after I receive the confrimation... And i don't buy big from a new seller.
Using common sense, and clicking on the user profile to see their posts works for me...
Not foul proof, but I've done dozen if not hundreds of transactions and bh they all went well.

Hello all, Newbie here. Recently discovered the forum via similar minded friends. I am hoping to make some transactions in coming months for a family vacation next year. Since I have no history, I am trying to read as much as I can and trying to participate in discussions. I can ask some of my acquaintances who are old timers for reference. I can also provide my reddit handle if someone wants to see my history there. Anything else I can do to prove that I am a genuine buyer? Appreciate any suggestion. Thanks in advance.

Depending on the transaction, you can "go first", assuming once the transaction is completed there's no way for you to hurt the other party.

May I ask what type of transactions you are planning for a family vacation next year?

Thank you for your suggestion. Yes I plan to "go first" with a reputed seller. I am planning to transact mainly for the FNCs, FHR and THC credits etc for planning our stay.

If you are a buyer, you should not have an issue.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

It was discussed elsewhere, but the question becomes who pays for it.

In my experience ymmv. Since you are not supposed to charge the fee(PayPal) rule it is usually either disregarded and the buyer pays the fee or the seller factors the fee into their cost or eats the fee in total. Honestly have only ever had 7 transactions that ever even went above $15 and I've done a little over 300 sales at this point for reference. Good way to put a reputable third party in place for any shady practices.
