That completely misses the point that hardworking and responsible americans shouldn't be paying for the schooling of the irresponsible.

I disagree with this, but regardless most who are paying for it are not making $1mm+ it's the hardworking employee and business owners making 1-300k

Everyone who pays taxes is paying for it. My share is probably a couple bucks a month and I am OK with that.

Now some idiot is going to take the amount this costs and divide by the amount of people paying taxes and say my share is more than a couple bucks a month.

Depends on why

To be fair, irresponsible may not be the right word. If they are willing to take on the expense for the knowledge then this for them but not if they have no way to pay it up.

They want a better education for their kids. Many parents want their kids to go to college for the exact same reason. Kids that get an associate or bachelor's degree take on student debt. Are they irresponsible?
