i myself dont know but definitely try avis like charles mentioned. Then again this situation with enterprise has only happened to me @ jfk. its likely that its different elsewhere.
just make sure to say that your going on business if you use a corporate. dont offer any other info about what your gonna do with the car etc. your just digging a hole for yourself and can get denied fo the rental

went into enterprise with a friend at bdl had reserved a compact acted nice smiled a little got upgraded to a premium suv then
we got a flat tire got upgraded Again to a infiniti g37x from their exotic collection. from their lowest class to their highest.

What you must know is, the prices are like liquid. Whatever the agent decides, that is the price. The bigger the position he/she has e.g. manager, the lower it can be. Since managers of branches review contracts, they often ask the newer agents why they gave such cheap prices.
I understand that the Manager and Assistant Managers make a percentage of all contracts.
When I was in LAX, I booked a compact car for 40 a day. I then asked the guy, "how much is that Cadillac Escallade?" He said "175 a day", then I asked him for 50 a day. He then went into the office and asked the manager, who told him he can do it for 70. The bottom line is, if you don't ask, you wont get.

If you have rental insurance from your credit card you should be just fine.

So what would be the best way to rent a car in FLL. Going 07/02 - 07/07 cheapest rate out there was 318. The Chabad rate was 250, but if its not legal i,m not interested. Any ideas?

Just get a credit card that gives primary rental car insurance and you won't have any headaches.

well, if he doesnt want headaches, he should get a cc that covers, but should buy liability from the rental agency. i dont know of any card that covers liability

AMEX cards offer secondary insurance with the card.

AMEX however does have a great offer for $19.95 per rental that makes the AMEX CDW primary.

(You have to ask for the $19.95/$75k damage plan specifically as the standard plan is $24.95/$100K damage)

If you are renting for 2+ days this is always a bargain assuming you don't have a diners club card that includes free primary rental car insurance.

Secondary means that if your own personal car insurance will cover the damages without a deductible then the credit card won't pay for it.

Primary means that your personal insurance will have nothing to do with any damage to your rental car.
