Boomerang is a winner for scheduling emails to be sent, and reminding yourself to follow up with them at a specific time in the future
I'm a big fan of Linkclump, it lets you open a bunch of links in separate tabs with one click and drag
Quick Find for Google Chrome is awesome, it lets you search for and click on links without using the mouse at all
SessionBuddy lets you save your tabs in case Chrome crashes or something and you can restore them
And let's not forget DDF A-Z Link Generator
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

Seems like Gmail absorbed many of Boomerang's features with their latest update.

Question, does the creator of the extension have any way to see the data results of my usage of the extension?

The short answer is Yes. It depends on the permissions and in what the extension does, but ultimately an extension can access everything you do in the browser.

Anyone know if a good chrome extension for helping speed up the multi authentication process?

Essential features would be
  • Faster than opening my phone and coping the code from the app
  • Ideally not needing the phone at all and syncing the codes with my account
  • Ability to share codes with other users
  • Allow sync across more than one device

Open Tabs Next to Current - works exactly as named. A true lifesaver and killer of a major pet peeve.

Does anyone have experience with this extension, Session Alive?

I just started using it and was wondering if there is a way to set it to turn on automatically

Alternatively are there any other extensions to disable or workaround inactivity timeouts without requiring a page refresh?

I used to use its predecessor "Staying Alive" (abandoned, https://github.com/snytkine/staying_alive).

turn on automatically: This is what they call the "Trigger URL", when the URL specified in the Trigger URL is accessed, then the rule will start running automatically.

I set the Trigger URL, but I still need to click on the extension icon and then click on "Add a rule for this page" for it to work.

Is there a step I am missing? Here is a screenshot of the instructions

Thank you

I'm not sure why you would need to "add this page" if the page was already added as a trigger rule.

Thank you for taking the time to test it out.

I tried it like you did with DD and it worked. It seems like the issue is that I was entering the login URL "https://example.com/login" but since I was already logged in it would redirect me to "https://exapmle.com/account". I added a new rule for that URL but it still wasn't working. I will play around with it.

Edit: not sure why the example links are clickable, obviously that was not the website I was using

Maybe make the trigger with a wildcard for any page on that domain:
Code: [Select]
https://example.com/*
And maybe try with http instead of https.

I didn't realize asterisk would make it a wildcard. But still not working.

Changing it to http did not help

Also it could be because the URLs have different prefixes (not sure the technical term). For example if the trigger is dansdeals.com it will not work for forums.dansdeals.com.

But I made separate wildcard rules for each of the different URLs and still not working.

Then it's something to do with the specific website.

It's probably possible to find a way for it, but impossible for someone that doesn't know which website it is.

At first I didn't think it would make a difference.

It is centralreach.com.

A website my wife uses for her work. Which has the annoying habit of signing off automatically after just a few minutes of inactivity. Combined with not automatically saving data, and not even letting you save data in the middle of one task, it becomes infuriating. The admin for her company could theoretically change the settings but they will not.
