In camp in upstate NY. Brutal
What, was I the only one in Brooklyn? It made quite an impression on me. I was in Chaim Day Camp when the power went. They had fun in the dark for a while but eventually sent everyone home.
Quotes in a signature is annoying, as it comes across as an independent post.
I was also in Chaim Day Camp, but we were at Hurricane Harbor then.. weird.
Echo chambers are boring and don't contribute much to deeper thinking and understanding!
The most interesting part about this is how an extremely wealthy Toronto family that was making shabbos sheva brachos that week took the leftovers from the kiddush to serve at shalosh seudos.
We were in Toronto for a wedding and staying for (perhaps this) shabbos Sheva Brachos. We took a day trip to Niagara falls Canadian side and it was there that we heard on the radio about the power outage. NF Canada was one of the few places that didn't lose power. Instead of heading back to Toronto we stayed in NF until Friday afternoon and then headed back to a dark and hot Toronto for shabbos.
