Author Topic: Rewind Mp3 Player just 10 Seconds (Read 990 times)

I had diiferent kinds of Mp3 players, but it always happens to me when I listen to a shiur and I want to rewind 10 seconds that if I press the rewind button with a single press the player will skip to a different track, and if I press it for longer it rewinds too very far back and it's complicated to get back to the place and it wastes my time.

I want to be able to control it with one hand and without looking at the screen.

Is there any player or Ipod that has a button dedicated just to rewind 10 seconds or so?

Or an option that when you pause and resume it should resume from 10 seconds before? Even if it's not built in maybe it can be costumized.

The new Sony recorders, have button that can rewind 3 sec, and forward 10 seconds. You can record from it, and put on music (i.e. Shiurim) etc... It can hold an SD card as well, so it's definitely something to look in to...

Thanks a million, this is exactly The button I am looking for! (10 seconds back would be more helpful, but I guess you can always press the button twice..)
But there is no bluetooth capabilities, does that mean that I'll have to go back to using wired earphones? (Do they even still sell them?.. $:-\$ )

Glad I can help!

Earphones are still avail.. Even Apple still makes them... You can always try to find a Bluetooth transmitter...

Does Sony also make players with bluetooth? Maybe one of them will have this button and support bluetooth?

Many keyboards have buttons that will do this.

I don't really use the recorder for listening, I put on my computer any of my things I record, and listen with my phone. But the times I did use it, it was great. It can be sped up by 3X or slowed down to .25X ... It has the buttons.... SD card... A nice slim& sleek look... The recorder, which I use it for that mainly, is amazing, the sound is extremely clear. The only chesronos I would say it has is maybe the durability, ppl told me theirs broke after only having it for a few months, but it's probably because they dropped it too many times or just being careless overall. Mine is like a year old plus and BH is still in great condition. I've seen ones where the LCD was messed up, but that prob also has to do with the aforementioned, not being careful etc... It's a good piece overall. You can try it out. In the worst case Amazon has free returns as u know. And I'm sure it has some type of warranty...

Any specifics, pls ask away. I'll be more than glad to answer..

what do you mean by that, those keyboards (which ones?) have special buttons? Or that you can control the mouse from the keyboard?
I would think that all you need is a computer voice playing program that alowes to control it with the keyboard keys, ALT+P for play and SHIFT+P for pause WINDOWS+P for previeos track etc. ..
And I hope that the program would also have a button cmbo for rewinding 10 seconds..

Why can't you just use the mouse to skip 30 secs or rewind 10 sec?

VLC can rewind 10 Sec with the Left arrow key.
Windows built-in media player, Ctrl+left

But I can't use the keys whilst typing in word.
Unless I move the mouse, which then I can already use the regular button.
