It is a singing contest. They both have massive viewership. One a lot more massive it seems.

I respectfully disagree. To prove my point, just follow the money. How much is vested in the world cup (which has teams and players vying for it repeatedly, and is not an annual event) vs the Eurovision.

It's not even in the same ballpark.


Another main difference is subjectivity in the Eurovision vs objectivity in competitive sports(or science and math).

TBH, this is more of the type of PR needed. Pointing out the ridiculousness of the savage attitudes and ridiculous claims.

When they don't have a winning intellectual or moral argument, they turn to loud and violent protests (if not worse). It's unfortunately universal.
