How do they make money if when you buy points you get the amount on the gift card?
And then you can take those points and win auctions?

Why is this posted under deals? Penny auction sites aren't much of a deal.

Btw if you search the forum for "penny auctions" , you will see that most people here are smarter than that.

Not for action but for sale. GC's they sell are for face value and no shipping.

You first buy GC’s to earn points to use for the auction. There are no VS/MC/Amex for purchase to earn points, only store GC’s.

They offer store GC’s for purchase. Say you purchase a Sears 25 GC. You pay 25, no shipping and receive the GC. You also receive 25 points (1 per 1.00 spent) to use on their auctions. I have not done the math but on the surface it looks like this can be used to your advantage while it is still a new site. Like I said if they offer VS/MC/Amex GC’s for purchase I would be all over this.

I guess I assumed too quickly, seems like a tough business model though.
Will have to look into it more.

i'm gonna assume they get the GCs at markdown (a-la PJ) which is the profit margin. hence they will NEVER have 'cash' GC (VS/MC/AM)
