Author Topic: Is it me or BA’s online site? (Read 3980 times)

Booking a flight on AA using BA. This is most messed up site I have ever seen. Nothing shows up for the dates selected. Toggle 7 days forward and then backwards and only outbound shows. Try one-way bookings and both in/outbound show up. Go back to RT and toggle again (7/7) then both show up.

Now I can’t find anywhere to select seats. Log in to AA to select my seats. Is it just me?

It is messed up, just have to know how to massage it to work

For seats you'll need to login to AA.com, plugin your flight info in find reservations, and that will pull up the res to pick seats (and add your AA number for free bags if you have an AA credit card)

BA is odd as it is both very powerful, and very quirky.

When u log into AA, make sure your ticket is actually ticketed. (Did BA forget to ask you for the passengers Date of birth?)

You cant select seats on ba.com
Go to checkmytrip.com get your AA record locator, and do it on aa.con

when I go into aa it has my ba advantage number in it and I can't switch it to AA?
Also I have a aa credit card but it's a authorized user with my brothers aa advantage number on it will I still get the free bags??

Not automatically, but try showing the card to an agent or supervisor at the airport.

what for? if the CC is linked to another AA account than linking it here will get him nothing anyway.
let him just leave it as-is and try flashing the card at checkin

Return flight only had one seat listed. Do we have to sit on each others lap?

Can't find a place for my AA CC# for free bags.

When is the best time to look for flights on BA website?
Because I never find tickets unless it's 2 months in advance?

Lol...they block seats in the front of the bus until you get to the airport.
Might have to PUTPAC AA to give them your AAdvantage number if it won't let you change from the BA number.

It's got nothing to do with BA and everything to do with AA, so search aa.com for saver awards.

on the 2nd part: IF you have the AA CC as primary cardholder, then you want to add the AA FF# that's associated with the CC, not the CC#.

I'm not sure if its cause I'm using BA miles (I'm not sure how that would help) or if its because I'm checking in late but I fly LGA-DTW a couple times a month and I'm always getting 1A which is a great seat on those bite size planes
