Umm, not for the power vision pack that's $30 a month, thy do make you get that for the Smart phones.
If there is a way to switch that let me know please.
Funny, my friend with a PPC-6700 only has the $15 plan, and his wife has it on her moto Q for $7 (addtl. users on family plan pay half). My other die-hard sprint fan friends who all have TREOs also only pay $15 for data.
I'll admit I'm not well versed on all the "normal" price plans for Sprint, but I don't know anyone who's paid $30 for data with them.
As far as I can recall, the difference between Power Vision Packs were all regarding extra subscription services, such as sprint TV and Sprint Navigation. If you wanted straight data, without subscribing to carrier services, its straight up $15.
The only phone that is an exception to this rule is the new Instinct by Samsung. The reason for this is that the Instinct requires some special services for some features to work (such as visual voice mail ala iPhone).
Unless Sprint recently changed something that I'm not aware of... got a link to back any of this info up?
