Should I return the rebel t5i via Amex return protection, and get the Canon EOS Rebel SL1 DSLR deal on the Main site instead ? Is the t5i itself a better camera ?
75-300 is a lousy lens.
But it's better than no telephoto lens like the last T5i deal
Absolutely, that's why it's still a good deal.
I got my t5i from the DDMS deal in September from eBay. If I only have whatever that camera came with then this would be a better deal ?
Can you upgrade the lens on today's DDMS one?Pretend for a second that I don't know what a telephoto lens is, and explain for everyone else what that means
+1 I don't know what a telephoto lens is either. Hence the confusion.
It allows you to shoot items that are further away.
So if I'm understanding this correctly, the camera you just posted comes with the telephoto lens plus many more additional accessories, then what I got with my rebel t5i. But the t5i is an overall Better camera and lens.
AFAIK the SL1 comes with the same lens the T5i came with, but you also get the telephoto lens and other accessories with the SL1, though it's just not as good of a camera according to SF (Amazon reviews for SL1 are slightly better than T5i, but those aren't reviews from pros).
Does anyone know of a good deal for a cheap point and shoot? I need two of them for a school.
