amtrak guest rewards points

wasn't sure where to post about train travel...

one of the best uses I've found for Chase UR is to convert them to Amtrak guest rewards points and buy train tickets that would normally cost $98-143 for 4,000 points.  Amtrak is ridiculously flexible - you can book up to an hour before the scheduled time of departure and cancel any time and get your points back - and there are no booking or cancellation fees.  (it's less flexible when you pay with $)

Anyway, I know that chase converts to Amtrak - are there any other points that convert to Amtrak?

Not really. It's severely limited and for most (all?) options you have to have their CC, basically not worth the hassle. How many do you have?

Consider redeeming for a roomette or a bedroom, it's a great value and will make for great family memories.
