Us airways or continental

I'm goin to LA and San Diego this summer.  hoping to use one pass miles.  Right now my options are 50,000 for us airways business class or the same 50,000 for coach continental.  I hate US airways and some really bad experiences but is it worth less than coach on continental?   Which would you choose? 

One more thing, I,ve never been to LA (or San Diego) which hotel can you recommend in LA?  (pref. Spg or hyatt). 

All other tips welcome, like places to eat and things to see would be greatly appreciated!

Unless you're tiny I'd take business just so my legs aren't squashed, no matter how bad the service is.

One Last Question.... If I book on US airways with my onepass miles (from PHL to San Diego) and then a ticket opens up on continental  (EWR to San Diego) would I be able to switch my reservation?  Would there be a fee??

98% of the time. When flying say SIN-PVG, I'd take SQ in Coach over China Eastern in Business
