Not sure if Chesed El has a rabbi these days, but the last one was non-Chabad. The Rabbi of Magen Avot is Chabad and the Shluchim live in the Magen Avot compound. On Monday everybody davens at Chesed El. Both have minyan and meals on Shabbos.

Trying to book 2 flights on Singapore Airlines from SIN to NYC for mid-April in J using miles. Right now they only have waitlist options available both for the direct flight and the flight with the FRA stopover.
Being that the points are locked in while on waitlist I can only put a hold on one of the flights.

1) does one of these flights have a higher chance of releasing availability than the other?
2) is there a way to check how many seats are still open on these flights?

Not basing off anything other than size of planes, but considering through fra is still the a380 until may, I would assume the a380 has way more business seats, but not sure. Then again, most people probably want to stay away from such a long direct flight to maybe more availability then.

Thinking of going to Singapore from fri- monday on the way back from mle. Have an option to do that or tokyo. Any recommendations of one over the other? Going with Dw and little one (hell be 2).
any of those cities have an eiruv?

They're both amazing cities, can't go wrong. Personally I prefer Tokyo's vibe, but that's certainly not unanimous.

We would probably have to do take out for shabbos because we'd be stuck in our hotel with no eiruv. So thats a thing. From what i see Singapore looks more kid friendly (singapore zoo, gardens etc).

Ouch. Ya, I don't think any far east cities have an eruv.
Why not spend shabbos in MLE?

But at the expense of your wife and kid being stuck in a hotel room all Shabbos?
I guess YLOR and shalom bayis may vary :)

If I remember correctly there's a hotel next door to HK Chabad. Perhaps they can arrange someone who can help you with the kids.

Gardens by the bay, Marina Bay Sands, Sentosa if you're interested.

Anyone know if Awafi is still open?  Also, any reviews on Aniba?  Plan on hitting it up - curious if anyone has been and can offer a review/recommendation...

I was there 3 weeks ago.

Awafi is open, very good food.
I went to Aniba but didn’t enjoy, feels very goyish.
Food is Asian, I went out hungry.
Cocktails were very good.

There’s a new falafel place that’s very good.
