HUCA. I never ask for it. I lead them to offer it to me. I'm super-friendly, ask about their kids, the weather and make friends with them. Tell them what a great service it is and it's sooooooooo close to what I'm looking for. If only they offered a GC to X or Y I would for sure renew but since they don't, unfortunately I need to cancel. They reach the point where it pains them to lose me as a customer. Of course, if I calculate the amount of time I spend, it's worth more than $15 but that's part of the game I suppose...

I forgot to call this month (busy with pesach and all) and when I called 2 days after the charge on my cc they said that I cant cancel this month anymore and therefore they wouldnt offer me another free month.

Just called and went through the same process and then the cs rep said that she can't offer a free month since I already got 1 and the computer only let's them give 1 free month every 6 months.

I spoke to them yesterday and they gave me a free month. Sixth in a row. I would HUCA.

They did tell me I could only switch one product in 6 months though.

Honestly this time I was planning on actually canceling, but I could sense that the rep would offer the free month so I just kept her on the phone sounding uncertain till she did.

I started off saying that I thought I'd be using the subscriptions more often, but I haven't really been using some of the products. I asked if they were planning on getting new products, because although I like product X, I haven't found that Product Y and Z are worth the monthly fee. I said all of the same things and took the same strategy and my rep didnt make that offer. Without me asking for a free month or anything she actually said that she would not be able to offer me a free month since its only once every 6 months. Just goes to show you that this is very YMMV and that its not really about what you say

I was just told by two different agents that they are no longer offering free months.

Before you jump down my throat, it's completely possible if I HUCA'd a bunch more that I could get it, but it just doesn't seem worth it compared to the value of the deal and other uses for my time, so I canceled.

I may be back if there is another promo. Even paying for it isn't a terrible deal, depending on your package and spending habits.

I really dont get what their end game was. They gave out a ton of free months but even if they were building a customer base, how were they going to make money of them at the end? Charge $20 to give $16 in amazon credit, $10 to another store plus a subscription to a mag?
