Bagel shop Bellaire for breakfast

Lunch can go to sabas pizza, or taste of TLV. Sabas is better option imo.

Dinner there is either sabas wok (fast food/Chinese), genesis ( nicer restaurant with good prices, or casa grill ( more higher end)

Casa, Saba’s Wok & Grill, and Bagel Shop Bakery were all extremely impressive!

Was blown away by the quality of each one. Highly unusual for out of town places.

We are thinking of a last minute Midwinter vacation trip to Houston. From reading this forum it seems like there are an unusual amount of quality restaurants for an out of town community but not that many activities other than Shooting and NASA. There also seems to be warm, vibrant & welcoming frum community but no nearby hotels to make staying there for shabbos possible.   I guess there's an option to stay at a hotel near Chabad uptown that offers Friday night dinner and has a kiddush shabbos morning.

Does anyone have any other info, ideas or tips on how to enjoy a long weekend in Houston.

Dan, how was your trip there this past summer. Anything to add?

It was brutally hot.
Casa, Saba's Wok, and Bagel Shop were all excellent.
Hyatt Galleria was great for a night.
Minute Maid Park was fine, but far behind the amenities offered by Globe Life Park.
Cavender's was a fun stop.
Houston annual Rodeo is supposed to be fun.
