If memory serves me right it should take around 3 to 4 hours (I took a tour guide) The kosher cafe wasn't open until late when I was there Friday, but the kosher grocery was open very late in the afternoon. If that helps
Thanks. Do you remember how much you paid for the tour?
Assuming that we just want to do the Rock ourselves, has anyone here gone down through the Nature Preserve and stopped at the various sites (like the Apes Den and St. Michael's cave) on the way down? About how long does it take. Also, any update on the kosher situation in GIB? I know @Yehuda tried to eat at the "not really kosher" place from Google, but besides that, where's the best place to pick up lunch on Friday? We'll be coming from SVQ.
Has anyone stayed in the Sunborn Gibralter? It apparently a cruise ship hotel and they claim to be 5 stars. I'm going for Shabbos in mid August and I'm on the fence between the Sunborn and the Eliott. (The Eliott has not received the best reviews on either the GIB or Spain forums).
Ive heard the sunborn is cool. A cabin feel.
Maybe not the best idea if you get sea sick. Also it's outside of the eruv.
We just got back from our Spain/Gibraltar trip and we had a great experience at the Sunborn. We didn't experience any sea sickness as the ship was moored (GIB paid 30 Million Pounds for the mooring) and it does not move at all. In terms of the Eruv, someone from GIB called the Rabbi for us and he said that Ocean Village including the Sunborn is currently part of the Eruv.

How far was the walk from Sunborn to Shul?
Hello All,Is there a way to eat at a restaurant in GIB - like in Athens for Shabbos or is it all community people? My DW likes the privacy and was wondering? Otherwise, I can get food at the stores - correct? Looks like there are a few places.Sadly, http://www.jewishgibraltar.com/ looks down for now.
