I just got reapproved for platinum card!
But... I applied in end of febuary and t&c on the link i used say I must be approved by 4/15/12 to get bonus.
Any ideas. If I do the spend, do you think I will still get the bonus?

Applied in February and got approved yesterday? That's a long battle with recon. You should ask them And get a name and office location, since Amex has gotten very strict lately. Quick before they change their mind

any suggestions for recon? i did a 2bm mb and reg plats i called recon they said they would have to pull credit report they wont allow me to close a card topen the plat. Should i Huca or its waste of time

Did they deny both. HUCA is never a waste of time, if you are prepared to make your case well

they denied both instantly. my ? is, does it help closing one card to open another like with chase and citi. I dont have experince with amex i usually get approved

there definitely are times where closing helps; if the denial was due to too many total cards. otherwise I'll leave to the experts.
it's probably worth finding out the reason for the denial

the reason for denial was too many recent inquiries. so closing an existing account probably wont help?

That's the reason chase always uses and have been reconned 3 x after that successfully
Don't know about amex.

According to many reports even when you apply with the 50K they don't give the 50K (or even anything at all), so good luck on a match

Hard to imagine how easy this all was just a year ago.

Where are you seeing this? I thought that was happening on the old spend 1k 50k bonus app

On the left of the app it says that not eligable if you got the Plat within 1 Year or Gold, Green, Zync within 90 days

I have an referral offer from my account that I could sent anyone an email coming from Amex with the 50K offer
