How does Hyatt's "guaranteed availability" for Diamonds work? Looking at a hotel that's sold out for a random night. How do they guarantee me the ability to book it?
They still will have a rate for it and can offer it to you at that rate. They will hope someone cancels or doesn't show up, but if that doesn't happen, they can move someone to another hotel if they are completely booked.
Interesting. I just called the Diamond line about a hotel that I saw sold out online. They said if the "Diamond guaranteed available rate" was available, I would be able to see it online. If it says "sold out" that means that hotel doesn't offer the guaranteed rate.Sounds like such BS. Do you have experience doing what you said can be done?
I received a targeted reward certificate for having the Hyatt Card good for $30 towards food/beverage (non alcoholic) at any hyatt house or hyatt place through July. Is the certificate only valid for paid stays or will a points stay work as well?
