Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

The Target Prepaid REDcard

Amex is launching another prepaid product in conjunction with Target. It looks to be almost identical to Bluebird and it doesn't seem to be possible to have either BB, Serve, or Red simultaneously.
In store debit loads are $2,500 per day and $5,000 per month.
Online debit load of $200 per day and $1,000 per month.

If target is enough closer to you than walmart, that you can do more loading this way. Maybe.

Looks like this isn't (yet) available in NY,NJ,CT. I guess that means this is a no-go for 85% of DDF members...
