Topic Wiki

Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

Does anyone know if RC's are available in Atlanta Targets? Thanks.

Thanks for replying. I did, and it says that it is not available there. However, I don't think their map is accurate/up to date. Nothing beats first hand experience.

If they are a known payee wont it default to their mailing address? Did you try to set up the payee and see if it gives you an address?
Thanks, didn't even think to check that. They are in fact a known payee, and the pay stub for my insurance says how to pay it if using my banks website.

I've been noticing that my charges from Red Card come up as groceries. Can anyone verify that you can get 3% or 6% back on Amex Blue Cash or any of the Amex Everyday cards. Has anyone had success getting 3% points on the Discover IT? Thanks in advance.

In general does AMEX not give grocery bonuses at Target like Chase?

What discover card has a grocery bonus?
Anyway, simple way to find out how it's coded is to make small purchase and check online.

Of course it's not hard coded. It's the stores made up rule.
correct. Made up rules. 45 minutes takes me to 2 other area targets. No need to wait around.
Fair warning - Any PMs sent in response to forum posts are fair game for ridicule in public.

Check the wiki. There is a map of available red cards.
FYI the map doesnt show all available locations. A regular contributor here who is from that area has stated that there are RCs available in or near Atlanta. Dont want to blow up his spot so I will not link his posts. But YMMV in HotLanta.

There are 5% categories on Discover IT. I don't have one but knowing if it worked would be encourage me to get one in my next app batch.

Grocery isn't one of them.
