Employee of mine is from Iraq and recently went back to visit family. As I am among the first Jews he has known, he is intrigued to explore the history of Jews in Iraq. He visited the place known as the tomb of Yechezkiel (Ezekiel). Sounds like your trip didn't take you there, Hershel?
Iraq is no small country, I wasn't able to cover everything in one trip.
Traveling through Iraq is not easy, no driver or taxi would drive you into the night, and roadblocks all over the place, and if you're really luck, you'd bump in to spontaneous Al Qaida or IS checkpoints.
Yecheskal is definitely high on my bucket list though.
